Description
Cortex attempts to take over the world once again and the Bandicoot siblings head out to stop him. Crash and Coco decide to divide and conquer as a strategy but when Coco doesn't hear from Crash for days, she becomes worried. She aimlessly searches the remote mountains for her missing brother only to find a bright glow in the distance. She could recognize that it was Crash and was temporarily relieved, only to notice that he now had a pair of wings and a golden halo. Upon realizing that Crash was dead, her heart sunk faster than an anchor. Then, a badly disheveled Coco charged towards him and she began to cry hysterically. Barely able to speak through her tears, Coco asked, "Did Cortex do this to you?". Crash nodded his head in response which only caused her to become even more depressed. He then tried his best to comfort her by wrapping his new angelic wings around her giving her warmth but it didn't ease her emotions. When Coco realized that Crash was starting to fade, she begged and pleaded with him to stay. Crash didn't want to leave his sister behind but he had no choice as his time was running out. When Crash completely faded away, Coco was left all alone once again in the remote mountains at night. After a few minutes of crying alone, Coco builds up the courage to get back on her feet. Still fueled with rage and sadness, she screams at the sky as loud as she can, "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS, CORTEX!".

This drawing was partially inspired by the scene from The Lion King where Simba sees his deceased father Mufasa in the sky www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGQnGQ… . It also is intended as a prequel to, "Revenge for a Fallen Brother" www.deviantart.com/jac59col/ar… as well as a foreshadowing for an upcoming sequel called, "Farewell to a Fallen Brother".
