Thoughts About Being On DA .....(Please View Maximized)
It was a few journals ago, that we asked our watchers the introspective question about their art, the why, where, when, what and how of their art. We received many deep and fascinating insights. We felt that it’s time for the next question.
Before I ask the question, I might ramble on a bit. Having put some though into why we are artists, or aspiring to be artists, let us consider why we are here on DA. Some of the reasons are (i) a public portfolio (ii) an online archive (iii) share and display their art (iv) to learn (v) test-the-waters (vi) Share and exchange ideas and concepts of art and culture.
Basically the DA Technology platform by itself only provides the public portfolio and archival capability. The intellectual and artistic exchange, (formal or informal)tutorials and mentorship, feedback and critique are all accomplished through participation by members of the DA community.
