Releitura de influências ocidentais, colagem de idéias, vanguarda ou extravagância? O street fashion no Japão é um movimento alternativo e ao mesmo tempo é uma válvula de escape social. As escolas japonesas são bastante rígidas em relação aos uniformes. Como eu disse, é uma forma de auto-afirmação. Os jovens querem fugir das normas rígidas, mas não totalmente.
