this really gives off a whimsical feeling - Quality photograph as always.

Well I think mostly things don't add up, so it's like a cleaned up version of reality. So the stairs have this feeling of motion to them but she looks more like she's taking a nap on the stairs--it doesn't suggest a drastic fall but that the model lost her balance and said well I'm lazy I'd rather stretch out and stay here. Many of the visual clues to suggest a scenario you were aiming for are there, but they react in a different way. I think it works out in a way that says 'everything is okay'.
