Description
Another Mentor concept sketchThe Mentor is from the Doctor Who Big Finish audio story Dalek Empire II: Dalek War. In the story The Mentor is the creator and leader of the Daleks in a parallel universe where the Daleks control everything though the mentors were created to serve as guardians of peace and order.
The only thing of the Mentor we have to go on for her appearance is a small description of her which describes her as an angelic being, encased in a glowing, golden throne with embedded implants that resembled delicate jewels. She speaks with a soft, echoing voice.
So for this version i focused on the theme of angelic, encased and yet still with hints of Davros

Oh now I like this version the best. I can see what you meant by Ironman even though there's no resemblance to it.

I'm glad you approve, i'm quite happy with how she turned out, i hope to get some colour on her soon.
The Ironman designs were really helpful when thinking this up, still theΒ angelic part was a must and interestingly the Halo was aΒ differentΒ take on what Davros has around his head.

Well, she was described as being angelic and I think this design nails it perfectly. And yes, I did see how the halo became a shout out to Davros' head rest things.

She was bald at one point believe it or not, but i really wanted her to have hair.
I think i might add two of her Daleks at her side when i colour her. Keep the kids near mommy.Β

Really? Well, consider Davros is bald. Even if she is actually bald I guess she could have a wig.
Yes, you must put her monitor Daleks in. They'd be helpless without their mummy ^^

Well, it has been a long time since the Mentor's appearance.

And she has the potential to be a thorn or a problem at least for the Doctor.
It would interesting to see them discuss certain issues.

She does. Although the Doctor have a fight on his hands to try and justify the chaos he leaves in his wake.
The Mentor downloaded the Emperor Daleks data base, surely she'd have heard of him.

I wouldn't put it past to take a interest in our Dalek's most hated list.

The mentor would try and ally herself with enemies of the Daleks in this universe.

Probably the safe as Kalendorf, not trust worthy at all of her.

The Doctor would be able to see the bigger picture and danger she poses with way of control.

And I guess that he'd know about the Dalek War and her part in it.
I can imagine the DTC and Doctor confronting her together, both arguing that she has no place in this universe or it's history and to leave them to squabble in peace(s).

Indeed its why i wanted a reason for her to be doing this
Like going insane knowing that most universes have evil Daleks and all have mayhem and chaos in them and then deciding that someone should step in.
Or there was that idea of the insane Emperor Dalek being in control of her thoughts, i know crazy but i love the evil of him. Β

To make all the bad daleks good? They'd just be as bad for a different purpose. I guess the Mentor just wants to control all the Daleks
The DIG and DTC is having none of it. The DTC likes to boss around all the daleks himself (except the Emperor, coz I guess they'd be buddies)

The blurb mentions the DTC but its been suggested by Paul Spragg that even though Daleks are in it there's another enemy that's actions effect the Daleks or something. It's early days, they don't even have covers yet
But it's nice the DTC isn't forgotten yet.

Such a great villian not too. He's too amazing. If Nick Briggs does write for the TV series I'm guessing he would choose the DTC as the boss threat.
