UWAAAAAAAHHHH Q_______________Q All the episodes of Ga-Rei Zero are finally done being subbed! I love this anime so much! Totally blows the original manga out of the water. It's only 12 episodes long but it has totally won me over ;w;
YOMIIIII!!!!! KAGURA!!!! Their sisterly bond makes my poor heart break! Q________________________Q
This took my awhile to finish only because I was a) lazy and b) too depressed from the last episode LOL;;

Great art. ^^ I definitely prefer the anime over the manga. In the manga, Yomi was basically a regular, not-that-special villain that was killed off early, but the anime made her into so much more. She became so popular that the author of the manga brought her back and made her more important to the storyline lol. (Though I don't really like how he did it.)
I think Kagura looks better with Yomi. Kensuke is okay, but Yomi is a badass.

OH GOD DON'T REMIND ME OF THIS. I love this anime soooo much. And Yomi and Kagura have to be two of the most tragic anime characters ever...this moved me sooo much. Their story is really beautiful and tragic...I'm still debating on whether I should read the manga...eventually I probably will. I should rewatch the series sometime too. :/

A wonderful tribute to two of the most emotional characters in anime. I nearly cried after watching the final episode, it was so depressing how she has to kill her own sister. But I think the saddest part was when Yomi was lucid and realized what was happening to her.

The credit sequence in Ga-Rei Zero was a little underwhelming, but they redeemed it with a neat little trick. Normally, at the end of the ED, Kagura jogs up to meet Yomi... but once Yomi takes the Death Stone, from then on she walks off by herself...

And yet People amuse they are gay >>; because of the little hints in the anime that are just nothing more then affection. I gotta admit though the anime put me through tears in the last few episodes and I couldn't stop crying :/

Yea the manga I'm reading it right now and supposingly its right after the anime 2 years later. It so far looks like a joke and I'm only on chapter 2.
I would asume that they make the new charater a female and keep that strong sisterly bond with a new female and have Kagura act more like Yomi, but nope. Have a insecure numnut male charater that really doesn't diverse Kugura in anyway shape or form XD. Its sad how Homophobic japanese artists really are-no offense to anybody in the room. You shouldn't have to care what other people thing what you draw >>;

Yeah, the manga isn't all that great. It's practically a Bleach clone the first couple of chapters. But the recent chapters (from volume 8 onwards) they bring in things from the anime.

Whenever I think about Yomi, I always think about her from Kagura's perspective so in a way, I connect with Kagura when it's about Yomi ;|
Kagura's way different in the manga however her old self kinda makes a comeback in vol. 8 due to certain events. I haven't read all the chapters, just skipped around to the ones that have Yomi in them lol So I'm really loving the recent chapters like ch39 and ch40.
