Sweet: simple and elegant! Though, still something wrong with lamp...

yeah I was struggling how to make it, in the end the lightbulb ended up being pretty high poly (It always looked dumb when I tried to use lesser poly.. but now it breaks the low poly rule D: ) and I didn't know how to make the "shade" so it wouldn't let too much light out, but so it wouldn't prevent it too much either... I kinda lost patience and went where there was the lowest effort >_< hehe! I guess I should stop cutting corners like this!
but thanks a lot for the compliment and I respect that you give me honest feedback! many people are afraid to do that here in dA in fear of getting hate, but that prevents artists from improving and getting better! so thanks again! I was kinda wondering whether or not the lamp sticks out in the picture.

It's Ok, 'cause lowpoly look "dumb" in most cases w/o normal map assigned to it )

Perhaps light emission density control for a light source you use? On some control panel in program you work, i mean... Adjusting "transparency" property of material you assigned to "shade" should help as well, i guess.
Overall, the scene looks like "bravo!" for some game with such a minimalistic style, i'd say. And that lamp fits well in the scene .)

right! ^^
thanks for the tips!
and thanks! tho I just made this scene as an exercise. ^^ this art style (low poly and flat colors) is kinda appealing in a way, plus isn't it kinda "in" atm (in the indie game community at least)?
