I smiled as everyone began to board the ship to the surface world.They would be returning and judging from how Eli was missing,he must have already been on board.
"Hopefully you all can visit us some time in the future!"
"Well it may be a lil hard but we'll try!" Trixie said before they all left on the ship with the rewards we had given them.I reached into my bag for something but felt them meet a leather cover.I pulled it out and I saw it was the book about Atlantic history and language Eli had used to teach me...
I opened a page with a pit in my stomach as i attempted to read it aloud to myself like he had taught me during his time here....
"Need some help Ellie?" My eyes widened as i looked up and saw him standing before me,dressed in Atlantean attire as well as tattoos... "E-Eli?Wh-What are you...I thought you..."
"Well...it seemed to me Atlantis miiiiighht need a gibberish expert to decipher a lot of the language..." He smiled and hugged me close to him.
"And...i was gonna miss you too much if i left...."
A playful grin played on his lips for a second but it soon vanished.I felt his soft lips capture mine in a kiss.Time seemed to slow as he pulled me as close as he could,seemingly afraid that i would disappear.I took hold of his head, my fingers digging into his dark blue hair as we kissed for the first time ever.His lips finally left mine as he whispered 4 small words into my ear
"I love you,Elina..."
