**Updated version** Better picture, and fixed the majority of things that were bothering me with it. So it's ALOT better, and if you didn't comment before, PLEASE do, and if you already did...well, comment again!!
Well...here's Tarrant. My long antici.....pated airbrush (mostly by me) and my 4th airbrush so far.
This one was a real challange, I went into it no problem, but by the end I was talking to him, and throwing tea cups at him because he was late for tea. I am not kidding.
If you recognize this picture at ALL, you will have noticed that I changed the background from the refrence picture, not because I didn't like that background, but just because I wanted to do something different. And, this is what I came up with. I'm using the background from the 'Tulgey Wood' scene, where Tarrant and Alice are walking down to the destroyed Hightopp Clan; "Twas brillig, and slithey toves did gire and gimbel in the waaaaaaabe..."
So...yes. Different background.
Now, at this point I WOULD share my refrence picture with you...but I'd rather I didn't. I don't want you to compare the images, just look at this one as if it's my OWN. Because if you compare you will see every place I messed up.
This took me several (School) weeks to pull together, 3 hours a day, and a crap load of Alice quotes. (It was the only thing keeping my head on when I was cutting out all of the damn frisket for this thing)
So. 20% Airbrush and 80% pencil crayon, you end up with this.

Commenting again, as requested! LOL. I love how half of the background is blue and the other half is yellow, how it's kind of symbolic of Hatter's changing moods and how his mind works.

What do ye mean ye can't see anything good with it?! Ye've done a marvellous job (ha... an M word...) and it's better than any airbrushing I can do. I can't airbrush at all!

I like his smile. The slightly warped look of his hat is also interesting, a reflection of what may be going on inside that mad head of his.

Hmm.. I like the lacey cuff thing
Something about it stands out to me. The hand and watch are really nice too
I see two main things, not necessarily wrong with it, but that could be improved. And as you're not totally finished then chances are you'll have noticed these things too.
First of all, his hair. It looks very pink, although that could be problems with my screen and the photo/scan. I think it could use a bit more curl definition, at the moment it is quite smooth looking, which is a nice effect but not true to the Hatter.
Secondly, the mouth area looks a little flat. Some shading above and below the mouth is needed to give it a bit more depth.
I hope I haven't been too harsh on you here >.<
But those are the main things that I noticed and hopefully I've helped you a bit

Thank you so much for your imput! But ya, the hair does have ALOT more detail (by alot, I mean all of those curls and such), and the colour IS orange, not pink. I tried to fix it up, but obviously my camera and computer hate me... -_-;
And you're the first to mention the mouth! I thought it always looked fine, but now that you mention it it does seem a little flat! I'll get working on that right away!

Ahh that's good, then. Tis annoying when art looks completely different on the computer.
Ahaa, I draw quite a lot of faces, so I tend to notice if there's some shading missing on them. ^^
It's good that you're actually taking my advice and commenting on it, aha. A lot of deviants would just brush it off saying it doesn't apply

Yes I did it at school, 3 hours a day in 2nd, 3rd, and over lunch....several weeks. I lost count, but I'm glad it's nearly complete.
