The Story: In this version, Draal is a Shadow with a will of his own. His father, Kanjagar the Courageous, was slain in battle against Goro Akechi, who was trying to stop him from causing any more Psychotic Breakdowns & Mental Shutdowns. Angry about his father's death, Draal decided to find his father's killer and avenge his death. Later on he was tracking Akechi by going to Palaces until he got himself captured in Kamoshida's Palace. After that he encountered Ren, Ryuji & Morgana and decided to fight along side them because he wishes to tear Kamoshida's limbs off for torturing him. Draal became the Strength Confidant after making a deal with Ren by training him how to wield his weapon so that The Phantom Thieves would help him find his father's killer. Draal is able to leave the Metaverse on his own and when he comes to the Real World he can take on a human form and change into his Shadow Form at will. After Ren's interrogation, Akechi decided to make Draal Psychotic so he would kill his friends and then the cops would kill him as a rampaging monster. But thankfully his friends snapped him out of it, leaving him with some rage that he decided to use against both Shido & Akechi. After the final fight, Draal decided to help with Ren's freedom is by breaking into Police evidence and acquiring any indo involving Shido and/or Ren.
