MechaGodzilla still looks like if Bayformers Megatron, Tahtorak,Trypticon, and a bionicle had a nasty, hate-filled four way orgy, made a deformed, inbred child together, and that child butt raped a Picasso painting.Β This is just a bad cosmetic for MechaGodzilla.
It's one thing to give a character a unique cosmetic, but this is almost borderline straying from the classic silhouette. I can barely recognize this had not someone tell me what this scrap heap was, at least the RPO MechaGodzilla still maintains the classic silhouette, conveying what the character in general looks like while giving it an appropriate modern update. Plus, it's also modeled after the poster version of the Heisei incarnation that Toho actually requested themselves, which makes it even cooler.Β
Hate to say it, but Toho really pulled a '98 on this one.
