Description Sense of scale of the Helmcken Falls snow cone. Red Bull ice climber Will Gadd is one of those tiny people in there. They were doing a film - we were told the crevasse you can see behind them started out small, but widened throughout the duration of the time they spent filming there; they had to jump across it to get down to where they would begin their climb.
Location: Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada
Used: Canon EOS 1Dx, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II

LOL

When I saw the small thumb I had no idea.

Stunning, and best viewed large.

All done without a safety net as well!

My son and friends go canoeing in Wells Grey during the summer. It's an incredible and remarkable place. Your photograph is stunning. Reality check, indeed.

Really impressive shot! Β Without the people one would have no idea of the massive scale.

Yes, I've been there lots before, and even though I've seen this place a lot, I was still stunned when I saw them standing there - I had no idea how big it was until then.

It's unusual not to have a sense of scale when standing on the spot. Β Lucky for you the filmers were there! Β And lucky for your viewers... Β
