Before Thomas And Nia became alicorns, got married, and had a family, they first met in a peculiar way, and this is how it played out:

Thomas was on an adventure to become the first pony to travel everywhere in the world outside of Equestria. On his travels, he was in the middle of a desert, with no sense of directions at all. While trying to find a town or some kind of guide, Thomas bumped into somepony. When Thomas looked up to see who it was, he suddenly blushed, it was an orange unicorn mare, and he thought she looked beautiful, and what was crazier, the orange mare felt the exact same thing as Thomas did for her. She introduced herself as Nia, and Thomas explained his adventure, and Nia offered to help him. Thomas decided to say, yes, and the rest is history.
