Seriously, it really irks me when someone begs for or offer bribes for favourites of their artwork. Favourites should be special. Favourites should show that someone genuinely likes or loves your artwork. It should not be something dirty or cheap to gain attention or popularity.That's why I always appreciate it when someone adds my work to their favourites. It makes me think, "Oh, perhaps my work doesn't suck so bad, afterall! I mean someone miles away from where I live likes it!"
If you really want faves, try to improve and work on your art style and techniques. Stop being so damn lazy by cheating a favourite out of someone.
Me? Honestly, before I was obsessed with getting favourites, being new to dA and all, but now I just submit for critiques, suggestions and input to help me improve. I don't actually think about whether or not I'll get one of my deviations added to someone's favourites. Getting favourites, is like an unexpected, surprise treat.

Texture/pattern: My aunt and uncle's bathroom door glass. I took a picture of it a while back to use it for drawings or something but ended up using it here. I might upload the texture whenever in the future.

No, of course not! Not at all! Adding your work to groups is just to put it out there for a larger audience to see. And that's perfectly okay to do.

Because groups do make it easier to get favorites.
