thought-provoking. first impression was a jump-for-joy exhuberance, then realized she was jumping off a chair, which gave a rather more sinister aspect to the shot. marvelous!

Excellent timing, and composition. I particularly like the way that you juxtapose such strongly contrasting ideas as child-like innocence and play, with the shadow of death. The image leaves everything a mystery to be questioned.

I like this...and at the same time, I cannot decide if it is an adorable jumping shot or a shot of someone hanging herself.

Brilliant and beautiful. It looks like she is taking a step into the next life via death, or taking a leap of faith onto an invisible curtain of air to explore forgotten realms. If that makes any sense.
Very beautiful, only thing I might change is to fade out the background a little and make it less blurry--but what do I know?
Brilliant work, keep it up.

the blur is the main thing i was going for, for the contrast between the frozen model. i love to use a small depth of field in my photos. but thankyou for your lovely words

For some strange reason, the stockings ruin it for me.

it was a 50mm lens, shutter around 1000/sec aperture i think was on f1.7. other than that the exposure balance was on normal, i dont like to mess around with the settings on the digital camera too much.

F 1.7!! niceee!!! I dont have those lens in my set.

i love how no one else is around. it's so eerie and surreal. i didn't get to Hyde Park the only time I've ever been to Chicago, it's on my to-do though wonderful shot.

this one is actually not the same Hyde Park you know, its in a humdrum town in Perth, in Western Australia!

Oh!! Haha awesome. I'm hope to be living in Australia next year to study. Perhaps that explains why it's so much emptier than it would be in Chicago.

Wow! i love the way the mere inches from the chair her shoes are makes the power of the shot shoot off the picture; what impecable timing it's as if you feel that you need to jump through time and space to catch this mysterious girl that hides her face from the viewer as if she has a chosen destination that isn't just the ground that will be under her feet in an instant. it's amazing.
