Description
Created August 2012. Prismacolor pencil on Bristol boardAnother of my comic doodles. I took this one a bit farther than I planned to. I thought it would be fun to illustrate the Infinity Gauntlet storyline in the style of the Star Wars movie poster.
Coming up with all the heroes in the foreground reaching was a pain. I realized that I don't like crowd scenes much! Sheesh!

Interesting how you still make beautiful traditional work even though you are extremely competent in digital painting. I say that because I'm a two-bit nobody comic artist (but a contracted one nonetheless), and my teammates have been trying to convince me to go digital. I've even been reading Freddie Williams' _Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics_. What sort of digital/traditional workflow do you prefer? Your finished products are magnificent.

I've been drawing traditional all my life. Digital is new to me... and I still haven't gone into it full blown, yet. I have a project to finish first, then I can dedicate to more time. But, I would expect that I would never stop drawing traditionally, it's easier to tote a drawing pad around than a Wacom or Cintiq! Even the best digital drawing could start life as a sketch in a notebook. AS for work flow... I don't consciously follow one. I love drawing in sephia prismacolors. I'll start with the lighter brown and finish with the darker to punch up the shadows. With the Infinity Gauntlet, I worked in the colors before the final dark brown. Glad you like it!
