Abilities: Can fly to 100mph, see in the dark, he can transform into a human thanks to the special amulet he has

Powers: He really doesn't have any true powers although people are known to suffer extreme cases of fear when he's looked at right in the eyes.

Weakness: He can't fly straight in daylight.
Due to his vision being tinted red, he has a habit of bumping into objects and sometimes crashing.
His eyes are sensitive to bright lights.
If the amulet is removed, he will transform back into a mothman

Reason of Fear: Thanks to his sensitive eyes and his nocturnal nature, when Mortis tried to fly at day, he would crash. Because of this, he began considering the sun as an evil thing, trying to kill him. He also began associating flashing lights as evil as well, when a group of campers scared by turn on and off their flashlight, freaking him out.

Personality: Mortis is a cocky, snarky, asshole kind of person. He always has fun getting under people's skin and enjoys teasing people. If you get past he's cocky snarky, self, he's actually a nice guy. A bit of a jokester and adventures dude, he's actually fun to hang out with. However, he suffers from zero self-confidence. This is mostly because of he's overbite, lisp, the fact he's not the right size of mothman, and his weird waddle walk. It's gotten so bad that he actively makes fun of himself. He swears, a lot.

Bio: Mortis is the son of the infamous Mothman, and that already has it's own set of red flags. Although, it's unclear who he's mother is, he never brother to find out. Mortis's father wasn't around much in his life, since his dad was always busy scaring teenagers or young adults away from the land they lived on. But, when he was, it was the best moments in his life. Mortis can remember flying high in the sky with he's dad, mind you, he's dad did most of the flying. Although, as he got older, strange clothed humans began popping up more, to the point Mortis and his dad had to flee the land they lived on and move somewhere else. That somewhere was a small village deep in the woods. The two moth creatures happily took up residents in the largest tree there and lived there ever since. That was short lived when his father went back to scaring people away. This finally caught the SSS attention of the Mothman. So, one morning, when the sun was barely breaking the starry filled sky, Mortis heard he's dad yell at someone. Mortis went to see what was wrong, only to see he's giant of dad on sitting on the floor, snarling at some weird pointy eared dude. When his father notices, he motioned Mortis to enter to the room, which he did. When the pointy eared dude saw him, he looked stunned. Mortis's father explained to the pointy eared dude that he was only scaring the people away since it interfered with his hunting, just so he and his kid could eat. Plus, the teenagers nearly blinded he's son one day with their small flash torches, so again, the original Mothman thought he's scaring was justified. However the pointy ear dude, said other wise. Saying it risked exposing the supernatural world to humans. The two moth creatures didn't know that or even realized there was a world of other supernatural creatures then them. The pointy eared dude offered protection to them both of them, if they agreed to join the Secret Supernatural Society. The original Mothman turned down the offer, but agreed to guide any of SSS's agent around the forest, although he did say one thing, that slightly shocked the pointy eared male and his son. " I'll guide your groups agents, if you make my son one." After that it was history. The next night, Mortis said goodbye to his dad and was given a special amulet that allowed him to turn into a human.

He now is an agent in training. He sometimes struggles with his training schedule since most of his training is in the daytime, but he's trying to work around to and convince to Abdul, or pointy eared dude as he refers to him, to change he's training schedule to be mostly at night. Besides that, he sends
letters to his dad about life at the SSS base or sometimes calls him.
