Update- 26/2/16. Wow, just had another look at this drawing after a while and can't believe how many faves it has, by far my most popular work, thank you so much guys!

I absolutely love HTTYD, i recently got my copy of the second on DVD so i thought i'd celebrate by drawing adorable Toothless. I didn't know quite how tricky he is to draw until i started, but that skin/scale texture is crazy. Hope you enjoy.

Drawn on paper using 2H, 4B, 5B, 6B, 8B pencils and black fine-liner, roughly 5 hours work, cleanup done in Gimp.

damn! you got the scales on point! Wow. Just.. how??, it took me a lot of time to think of making the scale look good but I always end up erasing the whole thing.

Thank you very much, i'm glad you think so. It was tricky to get the scales to look near how i wanted them and i did a whole lot of erasing myself whilst drawing this XD
