Description
This was initially going to be a profile of Clei (the younger one down at the bottom), but I felt like I wanted to go in a different direction with it. So, this is the result.

The mountains are the Ridge, an enormous wall of volcanic rock that surrounds the city Clei lives in. The younger him is thinking of when he will be old enough to fly the Ridge and prepare for his journey to Earth, whereas the older Clei, above the Ridge, is him just after his flight. He has succeeded, but at a very high cost...he won't go to Earth because of his mistakes when flying the Ridge, causing a catastrophe to those living in the city below.

The rockslide he causes is an omen to the purebloods that Clei, should he be allowed to go to Earth, would cause great disaster. If Clei does not go to Earth and find his Carrier (previously I called them 'Chosens'), the human who houses his soul, he will die.

Such a task could never have been thought of by the younger, happier Clei. Faced with death, Clei's life takes a turn into the darker side of his people. The Ridge and his flying it are symbolic of his journey to come; in the end, might he succeed it will only be at a great and damning cost.

As usual, all work is done by mouse. I used a refernece picture on Google.com for the mountains. I think it was a volcanic ridge in Chile.
