Description
I am blessed to have a model such as to play around with. He's doing a cosplay for the upcoming Anime Convention, aptly named A-kon, of a purple Link in a mix of Fourswords/Twilight Princess. I photo-maniped the shit out of this and tried out a new gaussian blur technique that I have fallen madly in love with.For the ears not being glued on in this, I think they look pretty damn good.

GAH! I was actually thinking of doing a Purple Link cosplay in a style similar to this. This picture reassures me... I was concerned about it not making enough sense plot-wise to the game. Thank you, miss Jaded and Mr. Model! <3

This is really awesome! I really like the pose, the model, etc... but I particularly like the lighting - the way you've got it darkened up a bit around the edges to pull your eye toward the face - very well done!

Heh, you and windy uploaded this shot at around the same time and made my devwatch very puzzling for a few moments. (on a side-note, did you mean to put instead of :windnstorm
On a more picture-related thought, I really enjoy the angle you've got here. Definitely brings out the planes of his face, particularly with the lighting and processing you did. The composition is very nice, particularly the bottom cutoff with the hard edge of the picture a distance from the soft edge of the bottom of his tunic. The way he's standing is also dynamic and interesting.
I am terribly envious of your location and its photograph-backdrop excellence, although it definitely makes me wonder how much is the location itself being awesome and how much is you making a less than ideal place look absolutely perfect.
In any case, this is a great shot!

This was taken out and about in a creek near where I live. It is a pretty beautiful place, but I did photo-manipulate the colors a lot to get it the way I wanted. I also blurred and sharpened a lot to accentuate different things.
And yeah, I realize I messed up on the icons. XD I fixed it though.

Also I have a personal interest in these photos (am the contributor of both tights and ears, haha, and he makes a great photography subject, neh?) which is what brings me to you to comment on the photos in general, which brings to the use of the art portion of my brain since you set up your comments to ask for advanced critique! My goal is to grant your wishes, just think of me like a fairy godmother or a genie, or just some girl with a consuming need to see people happy.
You live in a gorgeous area but that doesn't change the fact that you are a talented photographer. Very very well done!

And gracias to the complements. :] This was a fun shoot that I think I really needed considering I was just sitting around procrastinating on studying for math until Lance proposed we go take pictures. I always ask for advanced critique because well, I really like constructive criticism. I like feeling that I'm improving and am trying to improve. ^^
