Original OCDetails: Changed the cutie mark so it's more original. The coat color is now a tint instead of just plain white and minimized her hair clips to be easier to create. All in all, minimal changes, but you can still see the differenceΒ

Actually she isn't.
She's Celestia's most trusted general. She is very harsh to her troops and sometimes even downright cruel but she is still widely respected and nopony doubts her bravery, skill and loyalty. Her CM came when she passed the academy and swore her oath of loyalty to Celestia. It represents her military prowess and her undying loyalty to Celestia and to the royal alicorns of equestria.
She quite proud and very strict. She won't tolerate weakness and punishes it harshly. However she is quite understanding of failure if her troops had a good reason for it. She doesn't have any friends and when her husband died it broke her heart and she swore to never remarry. She will go very far to accomplish her mission but also has her standards and won't do anything she considers dishonorable. Wilfme doesn't get along with the nobility (or rather anypony in the castle) because of her scary appearance and bossy attitude. She's very domineering and often scolds others that actually aren't under her command at all.
She enormously looks up to Celestia and will do anything she asks. However she isn't fond of Celestia's attempts to get her to be more open. She stays very cold and professional and that can annoy Celestia at times. She has a pretty low opinion of Luna, seeing her fall as Nightmare Moon as a sign of weakness. She is fond of Cadance though, she was her teacher in military matters and greatly respects Cadance's ability to lead the crystal empire while she is still so young. Twilight she is still uncertain about, her royal title was given to her before she was truly ready but Wilmfe is still open-minded about her and does admit that her exploits are very impressive. She also had a hoof in training her though not to the same extend as Cadance.
Her royal duties are her life and she takes the extremely seriously. Her one distraction from her duties is her daughter. She is fairly harsh towards her daughter and also hits her when she shows weakness or does something bad. She can also be cold to her at times and can't spend that much time with her because of her duties. Nevertheless the two share a close bond and her daughter looks up to her tremendously. Almost like how Twilight looks up to Celestia.

She was abused and treated very harshly as a filly. Her family has served in the army for over 1000 years and she hated her parents. They hit her very often and neglected her if she failed. She never truly loved her parents, despite her attempts to remain professional Celestia is almost like the mother to her that she never had. She entered into service with her when she was only 14 years old and Celestia was so kind to her, yet also firm when needed. She just doesn't completely trust anypony, not even Celestia. Her only real love ever was her husband, she truly opened up to him like she had to no other. His death devastated her, she was still quite young then only 25 so it touched her a lot. It was then mostly Celestia that comforted her and she became one of the few ponies she ever let see her cry. She was pregnant though and gave birth to her daughter. She can be quite protective of her daughter sometimes but at the same time she doesn't want to shelter her or spoil her.
As a filly sheΒ used to love wrestling a lot and also loved reading. She could at times be quite rebellious and stubborn. SheΒ never had any time to play or have fun, she always had to study and train hard. Her social skills were already poor and they never developed. That's why she comes of a crude and unpleasant. She wants her daughter to succeed but she has sworn to herself she wouldn't let her have theΒ ruined foalhood that she had. Her daughter has many friends and Wilmfe also envies her sometimes.
I'm now uncertain about having such a pony as my OC.

I am not so sure, she may be respected but that doesn't mean she's well liked. She's resented by everypony outside in the army and also a lot in the army aren't fond of her. She seems logical to me, she comes from harsh parents and that has left a major impression on her.
The relationship between Celestia and Wilmfe is not always easy because Wilmfe often get's annoyed by Celestia's attempts to get her to become social. Celestia get's annoyed at times by her overly formal ways. She wants Wilmfe to call her by her name but Wilmfe refuses.

Think logical, this is my little pony. You know how Celestia is, she respects everypony and she doesn't get annoyed that easily.
Mary sue can be where she has it all, and is always happy and makes friends, OR it can be the exact opposite.

Well she can be happy with her daughter. She is harsh on her but also kind and she does care for the soldiers under her command. She deeply cares about her beliefs, even if it is somewhat violent.

Celestia can get annoyed like any other pony. She's just very good at hiding it.
I don't really care that much about that mary sue stuff anyway. As long as she makes sense it's fine.

I thought that was clear. If she was only brutal then she wouldn't gain the respect of her soldiers. Wilmfe is a good mother, even if she is a harsh one at times but her daughter is completely happy with her.
Shining Armor has also served under her for a short time but he never liked her. She was way too strict and domineering. He did respect her as a superior but he still isn't fond of her. Cadance on the other hoof likes her a lot, it's still something they can be at odds with at times.
I think some humans are just better at hiding it. One thing Celestia doesn't like is that overly formal behavior, she has to put up with it far too much already with those nobles. She knows Wilmfe very well but Wilmfe won't listen to that she doesn't have to address her as "Your Highness". Just "Princess Celestia" or even just "Celestia" is fine with her. Wilmfe even calls her "Your Highness" during more personal moments. Of course the bond between Wilmfe and Celestia is nowhere near as strong as it is with Twilight Sparkle but Celestia still considers her a friend.
