The cover of Ch 1 for Avatar. Lineart finished and scanned around two months ago. I was kind of slack with working on the CGing for a while, but then some of it really did take a long time once I started.

I know there are a few errors in the lineart - Cheri's right eye (her right, on our left) isn't far enough to the left, and Sekhmet's eye is still too high in the face (even though I moved it down a bit once it was scanned). I don't think they're that glaring though. Hopefully the CG distracts/makes up for it.

I'm actually really proud of this pic. I loved the lineart, I loved the CGing... took ages for me to do both though Used yet another new style for the hair - had each main shade on a different layer and then I could add individual shadows and highlights to each of those layers without worrying about accidental blending or running into another section. On the down side it means a lot more layers which means a larger file (at 300 dpi and printing size) and much more processor speed being eaten up.

I lost track of the number of times my poor laptop refused to save or do another action because there was no processor memory left

Sekhmet's Avatar, top right, is wearing a metallic mask. Just cause everyone in RL who saw it was all 'wtf?'
