My submission for *KazzantiChaos 's contest, in which you color this:I decided to try to make them seem more like celestial bodies after looking at her coloring, but....Didn't seem to work so well on the cat.
BTW I don't know why, but to color the circles within the iris and the sunflower I used a couple of marbles of mine for reference. IDK, with how iridescent one looked, and how the other looked like a water droplet, I figured it'd be cool.

I really like how they seem to be illuminated by the dark orb, and shaded by the bright.

Really? Haha I actually didn't realize it turned out that way, but you're right.
Sad part is, this is about the darkest my works typically get. ...I'm such a fan of bold colors....

Well, that's a good thing. I mean, I am afraid of colours at times. That's not a good thing.
For instance, when I coloured this all the colours ended up dim, because that's the only way I feel comfortable drawing really.
I just hope that my image isn't too bold for Kaz. She tells me often I need to start toning down colors here and there.

Perhaps you can use grey and draw over the shady areas with a transparent brush?
That's what I do when I force myself to use stronger colours. *shot*

Haha I already have. [link] This is the base colors of the image before I added shading, then more shading. xDD I'm such a dork with color.
