I was brought with an interesting question at work. A person created a brochure in InDesign formated to fit 11x17 paper so that the double page spread looked all pretty.

But another person wanted to print out the document onto 11x17 and just fold the pile and have a nice mock brochure.

Did you follow that?

It took me all of 2 seconds to understand and about another 2 hours to figure out how to accomplish it.

So as a result of my frustration I did what I always did, create a mock up. SO I cut little pieces of paper, folded it into a book and started numbering. Fun.

When I was presented with the same situation again today I realized Google must have some cheat sheet for printing books! None.

So to all you other book makers out there who had to face the same problem, or if your a newbie - I hope this helps.

A quick page number layout if you were to print out a book of your own making (great if you want to print ebooks). Basis of this is to print 2 pages on a 11x17 spread, double sided open to left NOT top to bottom. Fold pile in half to create Book, no sorting necessary!
