Description My touch up for DotD Ghoulia turned out better than planned. So I had to take a picture. I think it looks closer to her animated hair now, don't you?

I think this makes DotD Ghoulia my second favorite. With SDCC Ghoulia of course holding top spot for my favorite of this character!

How did you touch up her hair?

I used the boil perm technique. I have tiny perm rollers I bought form a Sally Beauty Supply store, wet the dolls hair, combed it out, rolled it. Then I dipped her hair in water just coming to a boil, then into a bowl of ice water; repeat! Then let her dry for 24 hours before removing the rollers and TA-DA! Curly hair~

when you dipped her hair in the boiling water, how long did you dip it for? and did you do the whole head at once or curl by curl?

(haha, sorry, I want to do the same to mine so I want to get the details right.)

i dipped the whole head. And then laid her down on a towel for about 30 minutes before standing her up- that way an excess water was soaked up by the towel and didn't drip everywhere.

About ten seconds in boiling water and ten in the ice water.

Oh wow! haha, thanks. I didn't want to hold it in there for like ten minutes. lmao, that would have been bad.

yeah that would have been too long~ Then you would have caused the glue that holds the doll hair in to soften. You'd have probably lost some strands.
