So what about those new Hellsing Ultimate Abridged episodes*? Fucking amazing right?!(*That came out months ago, you can blame me for this collab being late ._.)
Anyways! Been long time since I made one of these collab things with , it goes without saying but it was amazing again!
Pretty usual stuff here, he made the sketch and lineart (and this awesome version: fav.me/dcv2tzv I took as personal challenge) and I did colors and whatnot.
Should be noted that I did kinda steal that title from him too

On a end note, holy shit let me be little egoistic here. This might be best colors/shading/stuff I have ever done. What a way to kickstart the year. It's gonne be downhill from here, shit xD

Btw, nyt kun tässä puhutaan Suomea niin varmistan että tiedät "Helvetti Soikoon" suomalaisen Hellsing abridgedin. I mean jos tykkäät Hellsing Ultimate abridgedistä, niin hyvä mahdollisuus tykätä siitäkin. Epäilen että tiedätkin siitä jo mutta se sattui olemaan oikeastaan syypää miksi tutustuin koko Hellsing sarjaan niin pitää hieman hehkuttaa ihan vaan vanhojen aikojen muistoksi xD

Amazing? Mmm...Eh, they felt "meh" at best. Had some good jokes, but a lot of the material either fell flat (The stuff with the Captain as an example), came out of left field (Walters whole "Imma gay for Alucard" explanation) or preachy (the whole Alucard psychiatrist thing). The music choices were quite good though.

While I can agree that the final episode felt more "eh" than usual for me, but I can't deny that there weren't great moments that sold it. Personally I liked the Girlycard they did and kinda loved the jokes he made (And just to note, maybe I missed something or got something wrong but I didn't see it as Walters "imma gay for alucard", more like Alucards "Walter you are so gay for me"). And it didn't feel quite preachy either, but I can say that that psychiatrist part was little underwhelming.
Overall yeah I get what you mean, but I disagree mostly. Except for the music, they were good as always I think. But I gotta love it still, mostly just for the epic-ness, but for the jokes too even if all of them weren't hits.

The psychiatrist bit is where I think it has gotten a tad preachy, mostly when the whole "Oh mocking Twilight is stupid" feels like 'em trying get some sort of moral highground or something, and yeah the joke itself was "Oh, I shot Edward Cullen hurr, hurr" and it's super cheap. But, to try and back track on that? Kinda makes 'em come off as cowards and hypocrites who cannot stick to their jokes, hell they even went to apologize for that SJW Rip joke. I've seen some fans trying to justify it as TFS trying to be all mature, but it doesn't make 'em mature at all, it makes them seem disingenuous and cowardly because they cannot stick to their comedy, yeah the biggest "offense" that SJW Rip joke did is it wasn't a funny joke to begin with, but to apologies for it?! Yeah, right after ALucard vanished, Walter goes "YEs...you're right..I was in love with you..But..then I was passed my prime" or something like that, again it just comes out of left field and wouldn't it make more sense for Walter to betray 'em because he deep down hates Alucard for being such a massive ahole or hell has a grudge when Alucard left him in Poland during WW2, but nope pull this out of left field and roll with it.

Hmm well I can imagine it might feel that way, but personally I didn't notice. Yeah I guess that makes sense, but then again I can't really take a abridged series as having moral high ground, as matter of fact I can't really take them seriously enough to call them hypocrites because they make jokes contradicting themselves. Maybe that is just me, but eh.
Ok yeah I get that SJW Rip joke and the whole apology thing. I wouldn't be so annoyed by it or even really care, it was just a shabby joke. Although people trying to justify them might get annoying,
Oh he did say so? Sorry totally forgot that. But if that is straight quote I don't see that as a bad joke still, they established that what Alucard was saying was only to piss him off and to have a twist. Hmm...I dunno about those reasons you said, like yeah they make sense, anyone would be little more than pissed off if they had to work with Abridged Alucard and/or be left behind by that very ahole. But I don't think that would have any more comedic value than a shitty joke. I know not everything has to be a joke, but betrayal being so big of an plot point in original I would feel kinda "eh" if they didn't do anything more with it. And then again, like those can be turned into jokes too, and they could be just part of the reasons, but I dunno it depends.
