Description
To preserve my sanityIn this realm of darkness,
I flee into Silence's abysses.
But as the rapping sound
Slowly dies down
The shades in mind appear.
Drawing out of shadows
The uncertainties take flight
And become dragons that I know I cannot fight.
Their fires burn into my soul,
And I lose sight of my goals.
The idea of sleep is overpowering.
As I shed a selfish tear,
A star throws me her spear.
Using that glowing arrow
I weaken the serpents as they had done to me.

I don't think you failed... Sometimes against overwhelming odds we believe we crumble irrepairably. The dragons of misery, doom and gloom take delight in our fear and wealness. By giving those weakness's an image, a name you have empowered yourself. There is a part of you will always recognise them as foe and keep you together. I love the last three lines especially...
Not failure - HOPE.
