This is an interesting photograph. IT would be more interesting If the hole was placed off centre to the left, towards the bottom of the frame, with the wall dominating. Also would be more interesting if there was more texture on the wall - but you can't reall change that - unless you create a layer mask for the hole and then experiment with blenind modes on the wall in Photoshop.

In the original photograph the wall wasn't that interesting...it wasn't until I started to slightly edit the levels and curves that it turned out this way. This was one of those quick...Well doesn't that look differnt...sort of photographs as I was wanding around a mission right before it started to dump buckets of rain.
