I seem to draw a lot better freshly from having my art or my views on the importance of art, insulted. Mm, it was dad again. He's so supportive. *grumbles* Anyhow. I spent just under two hours tweaking this and working on it. ^^: I'm curently amazing over the fact that I drew a background of sorts.Other than the window (which is actually located in my bedroom), I didn't have any reference for any of this. ^-^; What is 'this' exactly?
Well I de-aged yet another of my characters. This time I drew a bit character... which I normally don't do. It's Pyry Sumiko's mom! She's from my original story Shadowed Light and I've de-aged her to being somewhere in her early twenties. She's currently spinning about all happy-ish at finally opening her Potion!Health!Shop.
Uwah. I am so tempted to draw the entire Sumiko family, complete with chibi!Pyry....

Hrm... But you said she's spinning in joy, ne? You might wanna open up her expression more. Make her smile bigger, and there's something about her eyes that make her look almost like she's grimmacing. You can keep 'em closed, but uh, I think if you make her expression bigger it won't look like she's not!happy?
Unless she's a restrained person, and then that's just perfect. Because she looks happy, just not exstatic, you know? But that all depends on character.
I do think it's good though! And I envy you for the fact you can draw a background. And she's just so cute, Pyry has an adorable mom. But then again, Pyry is adorable so it all makes sense. ^-^x

Hai, there is something wrong with her eyes. They didn't turn out quite how I wanted them. And haaaai, she's a calm-ish character. So she's not like hyper!happy and spinning, more calm!happy and twirling. Which is why I tried to draw her just sort of smiling instead of the big grin Pyry would be wearing. ^-^ Still... the eyes are bothering me the more I look at them~ Jade shall do better next time and use squeak's advice, yes she shall.
