Description
Yes, the riddle of the Sphinx. One of the old ideas I had came up with from after high school revisited for this old project I had with my fellow artist. Again, not a bad picture... but I see what I would have liked to have done differently. I do like how she has a certain cat like quality to her & still seems to be the queen of her domain! Ready to devour any who fail at her riddle.Related content

The warrior is almost lost in the forefront of the picture's details. His small size lends much credit to the concept of the goddess Sphinx's greatness. Very cool!

YAAAAY! I am glad someone noticed the small little centurion soldier there before the great Sphinx. His plight to solve her rddle or be eaten as per the myth inspired me to make sure she was indeed like a Goddess. Also many grand statues seemed to always show the sphinx in a proud regal like position... had to keep that powerful image intact
