Weavile is the one with the highest level in all of his final battles. And as we know in Pokémon, the creature with the highest level is the main Pokémon of a team. You can check it out for yourself if you want.

I know that in Pokémon Platinum, Cyrus has two Pokémon that can Mega Evolve: Gyarados and Houndoom. He would be likely to have his Houndoom wear the Houndoomite and Mega Evolve it since that Lysandre's Gyarados has the Gyaradosite.

I don't think so. Giratina can change into either its Origin Forme in the Reverse World or if it's holding the Griseous Orb, or its Altered Form when in our world. So I don't think they'd give Giratina a brand new transformation.

If Gamefreak decides to make my favourite Pokemon villain (Cyrus) in my most nostalgic Pokemon game (Pearl) have a Mega Evolution of my favourite Pokemon in existence (Crobat), then I can officially call Gamefreak the best thing to ever happen to the gaming world.
