This is a silly picture I did using Basic Paint of Rock Lee and Guy Sensei (some of you may know him as "Mighto Guy"). In all of Rock Lee's lame glory, I can't help but love him! Guy Sensei is pretty awesome too with all of the weird and lame things he says that are absolutely hiliarious, which is why I wrote my favorite phrase being said by Guy Sensei in this picture. The pharse "Dynamic Entry" was from the episode when Guy Sensei stormed into a room to save Naruto and Jiraiya from Itachi and Kisame (who had already left by the time he got there). But he didn't check the room well enough when he jumped in, he yelled "Dynamic entry" as he came flying in at full force and accidentally kicked Jiraiya in the face. Poor Jiraiya...Related content

Wow, fullviewing it, I am just blown away by the detail in Gai's hand. XD They both look very nice, I love their dynamic poses as well! Very nicely done as usual! ^^

It was freakin' hard though. As soon as I realized how hard Gai was going to be I was really dreading this picture. I've drawn him once before but that was by hand (it's a poster I made of Gai and Lee and is somewhere in my gallery). Gai's face was the really hard part but the hand was also a problem since trying to get angle right while working with the picture blown up to 400% is a little tricky. Thankfully this one worked out too and I was able to add it to my growning collection of Basic Paint art!

Yeah, and I noticed you can draw a lot of the different characters too, that's a very nice quality to have! XD That's not the case for me, I have to practice hard to learn how to draw a specific character, so it's good that you can do that, especially with pixel art like that! It turned out good! ^^

Well I try my best, if I were doing these by hand I wouldn't have anything to worry about but this is a whole new challenge and a pretty fun one at that. I would have drawn Gai Sensei with his trademark shining smile like I did in my old Rock Lee and Gai Sensei picture but I just couldn't figure out how to do it and have it look like a sparkle... it just kept on looking like he has something white stuck in his teeth. That was the only flaw that I couldn't conquer.

The perspective was freakin' hard to figure out! For a while I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish it, but luckly I figured out all of the problems thanks to some suggestions from my mom (she's a hugh Naruto fan).

Your mom doesn't know what anime is? That's too bad. I got my mom into anime by showing her Cowboy Bebop and Trigun which are 2 of my top favorite animes. But she totally fell in love with anime when I showed her Naruto, she's seen 105 episodes of Naruto and knows more about that show than most of the fans in America. She's also been going with me every Tuesday to the anime club in my town.

I'm sorry... maybe you should do the same thing I did, show your mom a really spectacular anime that would catch her interest. That's all I did, I just found the perfect anime that would suit her tastes and it just took off from there and now she's addicted.

Thanks! This picture took a really long time to complete and I kept on messing up on Gai (I didn't realize I misspelt his name till you messaged me... crap). When I was drawing him I kept on making Gai's head too squat looking, but after staring at it for over 8 hours I couldn't see what was wrong with the picture. I had to ask my mom for a second oppinion since she's a Naruto fan as well and with her help I was able to complete this picture.

You didn't spell it wrong, it's fine either way XD His name is written in the data book as "Might Guy" but the japanese lettering spells out "Maito Gai"... Tis the Japanese spelling for it, like in the series Death Note in japanese the character is called "Raito" but in the english he is "Light"?
...Yeah, kinda like that

Oh well that's good to know, I thought I had made a fool out of myself... it's been such a long time since I watch the original Japanese series that I had forgotten about the different spelling rules between the different versions. By the way, I don't mind long messages so don't worry about rambling.

I just have a very steady hand and a lot of patience, that's the only reason I'm even able to make anything decent in Basic Paint.
