Yay! I finally completed my Metal Gear Solid 2 comic page! I love poking fun at my favorite video games and the MGS series is definitely my biggest fandom.You can see the original idea sketch here and how drastically the final product has improved:

This comic took longer to make than expected because I decided to make it REALLY big! I also had some trouble translating the backgrounds to work in my style.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys my comic! Now go and play the MGS series! It's amazing beyond words!
It's weird, in this comic I spoiled the ending of the game without actually spoiling the ending of the game. That doesn't really make much sence, but if you've played the game you probably know that I mean.
I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was trying to summarize one of the most complex video games in the world into only 9 panels...
I drew this with a black Pentel marker and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

Haha! Let me tell you, it wasn't an easy project! If I can come up with some ideas I might try to tackle other games (not just MGS) and do a "Nutshell" series.

Have you played MGS3? If you have, you could do a 'MGS3 in a nutshell'. It is my favorite in the series!

I have MGS 1-4, played and beaten them all. I also have "Metal Gear" and "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake" but haven't beaten them yet. I even once played a shitty emulator of Snake's Revenge.
But MGS3 would be freakin' hard... it's also my favorite but I don't see how I could wrap it up nicely like I did with this one and not give away massive spoilers. In this one I was able to do the ending without spoiling it, but I don't think that'd be possible in MGS3...

Hehehe, yep. I'm sure every MGS fan already knew this, but the President grabbed Raiden because he thought he was Olga who came to kill him. Why someone would grab their crotch to make sure though, that's beyond my comprehension...

wow you summed up mgs2 pretty good that's exactly how it happened. I hope you do it for mgs4, it would be cool to see these in a nutshell comics for even other games too

Oh man... I've actually been thinking of doing one for MGS4 but I don't really know how to do it without giving away MASSIVE spoilers! I have a lot of MGS friends who haven't played it yet and they'd probably kill me...
I like the idea of doing other video games though. I'll toy with the idea and hopefully bring it to life. Thanks!

Yeah you're getting there! But there's still like a million cinematics and codec conversations before the end. That's a good thing though!
Just be sure to watch the game till the end of the credits, there's always extra stuff after the credits of all the MGS games and you can save your data and see if you've unlocked anything special for your "game +" data.

I beat it! All I got were two cameras though...
I really liked the part where Snake boasts about his infinite ammo bandanna - the game sure got trippy by the end. MGS3, here I come! (except I probably won't get around to it until Christmas time

Wow! That was fast! Yeah, this series is pretty damn weird don't you think? That's why I love it so much. Personally MGS3 is my favorite, it's really hard at first but once you get used to all the new features I think you'll enjoy it too. Sniping in the game is one of my favorite things to do. Just be sure when you start the game to select the option "I like MGS3" to unlock a bunch of extra camos and face paint. Those secret items have some nice special abilities!
When ever you visit me again, if you like you can copy my saved data for MGS2 if you want the infinate ammo, stealth camo and other stuff. I haven't unlocked it all but it's all really useful stuff!
