Here's an updated digital version of the first piece in the series:See the rest of the Shippuuden series here:
This time the Shippuuden Naruto characters are at the prom and that's why I didn't draw them in their original costumes (it wouldn't have made much sense). I'm sorry I couldn't cram in as many characters in this picture as I did with the last one. But I hope you enjoy it just the same! I drew this using a V5 Precise pen and I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils.
Finally, you can read what each character is thinking below:
Tsunade: "This was the WRONG day to wear green."
Rock Lee: "Apparently hard work does pay off."
Sai: "I like big butts and I cannot lie. You other brothers (who lack penis) can't deny."*
Hinata: "Naruto will have to notice me this time!"
Temari: "Since when were you such a romantic, Shikamaru?"
Shikamaru: "Since I set eyes on you, my love."
Naruto: "Wow, Hinata is really booty-poppin'!"
Gamakichi: "Hey Naruto, when did Hinata become such a fox?"
Gamatatsu: "Almost there..."
Gaara: "Busted..."
Jiraiya: "Simmer down kid, I won't get you in trouble if you give me a shot."
Sakura: "This sucks, why didn't Sasuke ask me to the prom?"
Ino: "Sasuke is such a dark, sultry and mysterious loner. I must have him!"
Sasuke: "Yeah, I'm gellin'."
*this is my joke on the song "Baby Got Back," by Sir Mix-a-Lot (1992).

Thanks! I love Gaara and had to put in him in this drawing, I figured spiking the punch seemed like the most likely thing for him to do if he went to the prom.

Yeah, I wish there was another word for "prom" because it is way too close to "porn" but there isn't... Oh ant that isn't Itachi, it's Sai. I have all of the characters listed in my artists comments along with what each character is saying/thinking.

I figured that the midrift would have given it away and the fact that the headband doesn't have a line through the leaf symbol, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe not as many people as I had hoped have seen the Shippuuden episodes or read past volume 32 in the manga series...

I think you're the first person to mention Sai's boxers! You always notice the little details I put in my drawings and it makes me very happy! Yeah, I really went all out in this picture. I'm surprised I was able to take a somewhat decent picture of it. I think Sai is my favorite, just because he's doing something soooo unlike him!
That reminds me, if it's not too much trouble, I would love it if you could scan the Leonine drawings I sent you. You could send them to my email, I just want to have good quality scans of them to replace the crappy photos I took.

Hmmmm well, I went to an Aquabats concert! it was beyond amazing! And then I went to my friends birthday party and spent the night.
I've also been working like.. something really busy on my research paper.. the draft is due tomorrow D:

I've never heard of that band, is it a local band or something? I just got a copy of Nero and if I can get things working I might be able to burn some cds for you and I was thinking of maybe also sending you some stuff of local bands. One of the most popular bands from my town is called "Two Headed Chang" (aka THC). It's a really great metal band, I've seen almost every single performance they did in my town. But right now they have been traveling all over the state and getting quite a large following! The coolest thing though is I'm friends with most of the members, the lead singer even sold me their first cd album for half price! They are really nice guys.
It sounds like things are busy but normal for you though, I mean school work is to be expected so things can't be too bad, right?

Just that proves how cool they are. They play insanely funny and happy ska music. And I think they've gotta be on my list of top 5 favorite bands.
I actually don't know many of our local bands :\ Going to concerts isn't a normal thing for me.
Yeah it is pretty normal.. end of semester so the last big projects and tests are here!

The Nero program is running without a hitch, everything is in working order and the world is safe again because I can burn cds! I've been burning stuff for you almost non-stop, but I've got sooo much stuff in your Christmas package that it's begining to look like I won't be able to fit them in it. It's just because I wasn't expecting to find a copy of Nero so soon. So I'll have to send a package with cds at a later date. I hope you don't mind, just remember that you WILL get it eventually! Oh the excitement!
