Description Here's an updated digital version of the first piece in the series:

See the rest of the Shippuuden series here:

This time the Shippuuden Naruto characters are at the prom and that's why I didn't draw them in their original costumes (it wouldn't have made much sense). I'm sorry I couldn't cram in as many characters in this picture as I did with the last one. But I hope you enjoy it just the same! I drew this using a V5 Precise pen and I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils.

Finally, you can read what each character is thinking below:

Tsunade: "This was the WRONG day to wear green."

Rock Lee: "Apparently hard work does pay off."

Sai: "I like big butts and I cannot lie. You other brothers (who lack penis) can't deny."*

Hinata: "Naruto will have to notice me this time!"

Temari: "Since when were you such a romantic, Shikamaru?"

Shikamaru: "Since I set eyes on you, my love."

Naruto: "Wow, Hinata is really booty-poppin'!"

Gamakichi: "Hey Naruto, when did Hinata become such a fox?"

Gamatatsu: "Almost there..."

Gaara: "Busted..."

Jiraiya: "Simmer down kid, I won't get you in trouble if you give me a shot."

Sakura: "This sucks, why didn't Sasuke ask me to the prom?"

Ino: "Sasuke is such a dark, sultry and mysterious loner. I must have him!"

Sasuke: "Yeah, I'm gellin'."

*this is my joke on the song "Baby Got Back," by Sir Mix-a-Lot (1992).

OF COURSE I WOULD.

I swear..this is definatly so cute!
I would never have guessed Lee would be interested in Tsunade.

AND ITACHI! O_O I loved him. He looks so adorable! <3
Poor Ino and Sakura don't look like they are enjoying themselves yet.

I totally support Naruto under the table acts.

Itachi? He's not in this picture. I think Rock Lee looks especially adorable though, I mean, what other high school sterio type would suit him better than "the nerd?" I never went to my prom though, I stayed inside to play video games with my friends. But if I had gone I would have either been doing something like Sasuke or Naruto. I'm not the type to dance, I'm the sort to go off somewhere by myself and drink a soda far away from the action and watch from a distance.

Oops...it's Sai actually. D: Sorry, not good distinguishing the two. Yeah, I love Lee's expression.

Trust me, you won't be the only one. I am going to be doing the exact same thing..or come to the Prom as L or something. D: That would be especially yummy.

Danceointless. <3

Did you read the little quotes that I made up for each character in my artist's comments? I think that's equally as amusing as the picture. I have no regrets about the prom though, we had a great time playing Tekken 3 all night.

Best quotes ever, they were so kyoot! It ties together the picture great!

TEKKEN 3!? I love that game. My favorite is Asuka Kazama...she is a beast. <3 I really adore her.
Yeah...that is what I should do for prom too.

Jagarnot In reply to Zikki-chan [2007-11-29 01:47:34 +0000 UTC]

Yay! I'm glad you like the quotes I made up for each of them.
My favorite character of Tekken 3 has always been Jin Kazama, but I also really like Nina Williams and Heihachi Mishima. The only times I ever went to school dances though were to steal the free food and then I'd hid in the corner of the room with a few friends drinking soda (it's rare that people see me without a soda in my hands).

Jin Kazama? I like him too, he is an awesome character. My favorite boy is Hwoarang.
I just like the way he uses his legs above all.

She likes Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Naruto, Crest of the Stars, The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ouran High School Host Club, When the Cicada Cry, Noir, Honey and Clover, Death Note and a bunch more that I can't quite remember right now... I think my mom likes Naruto most of all though, she's seen over 120 episodes of that and the first movie. But the first anime I was ever able to get her to sit down and watch was "Crest of the Stars." It moves kinda slow but I think it's a really good series, I'm surprised my mom actually liked it though!

Your Mom likes Death Note? Ouran? Naruto!? My Mom is so hypocritical...I sit down at watch her stupid shows..and she is all.."TURN THAT CARTOON CRAP OFF." D:

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jagarnot In reply to Zikki-chan [2007-12-05 11:35:38 +0000 UTC]

Yep, just today before we went to work we were watching 2 episodes of Death Note for that matter. She hasn't seen much of Ouran but she really likes it and she love the Naruto series. Back when I first got into anime I was watching a lot of Dragon Ball Z and I don't think she liked that series, but as I got into better and more complex animes she started to see that it was more than just a cartoon. My mom has also seen almost every single movie by Miyazaki, she loves his work!
As for your mom though, I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop if you want to show her a series but if you want to show her a movie I suggest you show her some Miyazaki movies. Although one other anime movie I highly recommend showing her would be "Grave of the Fireflies." You CAN'T watch that movie without being emotionally touched and break down crying. So I guess Grave of the Fireflies might be your best choice simply because of that, it is far more than just a cartoon.

Zikki-chan In reply to Jagarnot [2007-12-06 01:18:04 +0000 UTC]

That guy is a GENIOUS. I have to say..those movies really inspire me, by far, then any anime/manga I have ever read or watched. Except Sailor Moon..THAT started me into the whole "cartoon world" as I used to call it when I was smaller. Grave of the Fireflies? Is that by him too? Someone told me about something about fireflies in a move by him...what is it about? I should recommend it. I have only seen a few of his works, I own "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Castle In The Sky".

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jagarnot In reply to Zikki-chan [2007-12-06 12:35:12 +0000 UTC]

No, Grave of the Fireflies (aka Hotaru no Haka) was directed/written by Isao Takahata. It's not an easy movie to describe so I suggest you read about it here: [link]
That Wikipedia link sums up the movie pretty well, I suggest you show it to your mom. It might perk her interest. That movie was shown as a double feature along side My Neighbor Totoro because the producers were afraid that people might not like such a depressing movie, so pairing it with a happy lighthearted movie seemed like a good idea. To everyone's surprise, both movies were recieved very well and are considered legends in the world of anime. By the way, My Neighbor Totoro is my favorite Miyazaki film!

That is a good idea. It sounds really touching..war is something that I am totally like.."Wtf is the point if people only die?". I should watch it on youtube, then get it. Those movies are seriously touching. I liked Princess Mononoke alot. That one really touched me, I am real close to wolves/nature...the artist..wow..I have to say I am BLOWN AWAY.

Adorable is good! <3 I think it is stupid when I cry about movies and my friends dont. My friend Chi-Chi and I were at my house watching Sailor Moon. You have to think back into the times of Sailor Moon, that was like...THE FIRST ANIME I STARTED WATCHING. Well..Cardcapters was really the first..but I dont count that cause I didn't really get to far into it. X3 Anyway...were were watching the Black Dream Hole and The Promise of The Rose movies..and I was crying..and she was laughing. X3 Not at me..but at the movies and the things that people said. English dubb is so gay sometimes. ;-; I don't like it. Anyway...that is pretty much how I go in life. i cry at almost every movie..I find something to cry about. Like, In Bruce Almight..I cried when he "almost died", and was praying for Grace. In Pokemon the unknown..I cried when Entei left. D;

Well you are definately going to cry during Grave of the Fireflies then! I sometimes cry during video games also. This may sound silly, but the first game that ever made me cry was Resident Evil 2 during the scene when the character Ada Wong died... I think the last movie that I watched that made me cry would have to be The Iron Giant. It's an American cartoon but it's damn good!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zikki-chan In reply to Jagarnot [2007-12-10 00:31:33 +0000 UTC]

The Iron Giant!? I cried to that too.."You are what you chose to be." D: Made me bawl...YES VIDEO GAMES! Kingdom Hearts 2..and 1....and...Drakengard 2....and some more..I just cant think of any right now. I have written things that have made me cry.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jagarnot In reply to Zikki-chan [2007-12-10 02:02:20 +0000 UTC]

Some other video games I cried during are Metal Gear Solid 1-3 (I know that sounds weird but there are some really touching scenes in that series!), Shadow of the Colossus REALLY got to me, Silent Hill 3, Final Fantasy X, Indigo Prophecy (which is currently my biggest video game obsession) and Beyond Good and Evil. I know some of those may sound like weird choices and I'd like to explain why they affected me, but that would give away major spoilers...
Oh and another movie that I watched recently that got to me BIG time was "3 Iron," it's a really beautiful Korean movie. I bought a copy a few months ago for only $2.50, I didn't know what it was at the time but it was a good deal so I grabbed it. I now think of it as one of the greatest impulse buys I've ever invested in! But you should see that movie too, it was amazing. Another anime though that made me cry was "Tokyo Godfathers," I don't know if you've seen it but that was a really hard one to watch...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zikki-chan In reply to Jagarnot [2007-12-12 00:55:33 +0000 UTC]

Shadow of Colossus? I heard that plot line was really good for that. Silent Hill was a good movie. Final Fantasy of COURSE.

Tokyo Godfathers is about? It does sound like something I had heard before.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jagarnot In reply to Zikki-chan [2007-12-12 14:47:32 +0000 UTC]

Well you might think differently about the Silent Hill movie if you had played the games first. It actually is really horrible compared to the games and lacks the famous atmosphere and amazing music that the series is so famous for. Shadow of the Colossus doesn't have a very big storyline but it does bring up a lot of emotions because you get VERY attached to certain characters.
Tokyo Godfathers is basically about 3 homeless people who find an abandoned baby that was apparently thrown out with the trash. They go through many struggles to care for the baby while trying to just get by in their everyday life. The older homeless guy is a drunk, the younger homeless guy is a transvestite and the young girl is a runaway. They have very touching stories behind them and how they got to this point as well. I cried non-stop!
The one movie that I still cry through no matter how many times I watch it would have to be "The Bride With White Hair 1-2." It's my favorite Chinese movie EVER, it's sort of a fantasy romance tale with lots of kung fu action.
