Description
The Legend of Dragoon was the very first rpg I fell in love with, it came out back in 1998 and is still a very impressive game to this day in my oppinion. I used to hate rpgs until I played a demo of this and was totally in awe of the innovative gameplay and deep storyline. This is probably my second favorite game of all time (the #1 game in my list is Star Ocean 2). I know I didn't include all of the playable characters like Hashel or Miranda, but I don't really like them and so that's why I left them out. I'm kinda wishing I had at least included Lloyd though... He was a fantastic villain! I just wish he had been a playable character....
The names of the characters from left to right are Meru, Shana, Dart, Rose, Albert and Kongol. My personal favorite characters are Rose and Albert.
I did this picture using only a Micron Archival Ink pen (size .005), it's one of my favorite pens for doing super detailed work like this.
I hope everyone likes it and if you haven't played this one yet I recommend you check it out (especially if you like old PS1 rpgs!).

I've been meaning to play Legend of Legaia. I have a copy of Legaia 2: Dual Saga but I didn't really get into that one. The voice acting was the worst I've ever seen. XD
But I had played a demo of Legend of Legaia a long time ago and it seemed really cool.

I agree it's a great game and Lloyd is awesome. I would have added Lavitz over Albert and Miranda over Shana anyday. Besides. Lavitz and Mirand were the true chosen dragoons. Albert and Shana weren't

Well the best advice I can give you on the Dragon Block Staff is to NEVER go into your Dragoon form! It will destroy your party in just a few hits because it's whole purpose is to defeat dragons. Other than that, I suggest lvling up all of your addition attacks, ALL of them! If you max out all of your additions for each character, it will unlock their final and most powerful attack. It's worth the effort.

Oooo... I hated the first time I fought the Divine Dragon... all of the bosses feel really difficult on your first play though, but for some reason on the second time around it feels laughably easy. I have no idea why that is though!

Jagarnot In reply to outcastcat [2010-06-08 09:21:05 +0000 UTC]
I think you misunderstood, I mean that it's harder to fight him (and pretty much every boss) on your first play through. If after you beat the game and play through it again, everything will feel rediculously easy! It's the weirdest thing.

I believe there's 50 stardusts in the whole game. You can read strategies on gamefaqs.com if you want to find out all the locations and go back for them. You can go back to get them up to a certain point...

Jagarnot In reply to outcastcat [2010-06-12 16:37:52 +0000 UTC]
They aren't hard get as long as you have a list of all the locations. Once you get them all and turn them all into the lady who wants them, she'll give you an item that lets you get pass a barrier where the ultimate boss is. He's really hard and purely magic based (so don't use Kongol for the life of you!). But it's cool to explore the secret area because there are new monsters that can be found only in that location.

hahaha, neat. well im already about to fight diaz, so ill get it next time. and the only charas ive really been using are albert and haschel.. im working on levelling meru, but she SUCKS!!! even with the guard badge, she sucks.

Jagarnot In reply to outcastcat [2010-06-13 20:58:54 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but some people swear by Meru for some reason I still don't understand. The only thing she's good for is the fact that she can withstand magic damage pretty well. But even her final Addition is pretty shitty in my opinion, so I still don't see the point in using her.
The only thing good I can say about Meru is that she has a cool animation when she turns into a dragoon, but really... that's not helpful! Bad Meru is bad!
But try to lvl up your other characters at least a little bit. It'll help you for a certain "something" on disk 4.

Hehehe, sounds like you found a secret boss! I was usually in my mid 30's before I fought them and had my additions maxed. The order that I found easiest to take them on is sword, head and armor. I'm pretty sure there is no shield.
Check out this site for strategy guides for Legend of Dragoon, I'm sure you'll find some good information on how to take this guy down in detail: [link]

yeah thats how i found them hahaha.. the top faq has helped me out quite a bit, though i never follow the recommendations for who should be in your party.. maybe i should >> but meru is such a low level.. she needs to be in the forties before shes caught up with the others at the levels theyre at >>

Jagarnot In reply to outcastcat [2010-06-15 01:56:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I think it's mostly down to personal taste when it comes to parties, except when Kongol is involved because he can't survive magic bosses very well. Other than him, all is good in my book! If it helps, my typical party through out pretty much the whole game is Dart, Rose and Albert. They are my favorites and I easily managed that boss with that team (plus all additions maxed as far as I could up to that point).
Honestly, I would never recommend Meru for anything unless you're a glutton for punishment. She's a pain in the ass to use and can't take the damage. Also Shana is only good up to a point... then she becomes obsolete seeing that she can't use additions. She's a good healer, I'll give her that, but you can only go into dragoon form every so often and with a limited inventory you can't power up your dragoon form with replenishing items because you need the space for more important things.

C:< i beat them haha and i only needed to heal with meru once. and albert, rose, and dart is my ideal party as well, theyre my highest levels up to this point because of that. im working on levelling meru and haschel, though, cuz they have proven to be useful.

Jagarnot In reply to outcastcat [2010-06-15 04:38:49 +0000 UTC]
Haschel is pretty good, I have no complaints about him at least. I just like the additions of Dart, Rose and Albert the most. Glad to see you beat the secret boss, it has the most powerful weapon for Dart in the whole game. The only catch is that it consumes your health. The only way to counter that effect is to equip the Therapy Ring so that way your health never decreases or increases when using that combination. I know it sounds like a waste of a Therapy Ring, but there are actually two of them in the game at least and the sword is totally worth it. Considering that Dart can never leave your party, you might as well equip him with the best!

yup, thats exactly what i did!! people say haschel's additions are hard, but i find them fairly easy. and i dont find it a waste of a therapy ring, i dont use it for anything anyway lol. and meru's magic defense is amazing. im surprised shes good for anything at all lol

I'm still anti Meru... Dart, Rose and Albert can withstand every type of attack well enough and their additions are actually useful. It is nice that Meru can heal, but it doesn't make up for her lack of uselessness.
