This is one image from a personal project I did over the last two months. The influences for this were largely Indian architecture with a fantasy twist.

Looking great! Perhaps doing some lighter blue on the top facing planes and / or darkening the side planes could make the forms in the shadow areas go pop!

Thats a really good idea. Out of the whole portfolio, I feel like I can most improve this piece so I may go back and work on it (or just make a whole new portfolio and apply what I learnt

Thanks, the course is great! It changed my way of thinking about light and color. The actual matte painting part like the techniques are great too. But the thinking and theory behind it all really helped me. So in short, it's well worth the time and money

The location is wonderful. I LOVE the elephant heads...(are those lanterns...?) all the details you put in it are incredible.Β Nice job!
