Description hehehehehe... Some concepts I've finally put out. So in Crimsol Don circa 2100 there's this structure called an Orbital elevator. It's located in Mexico. The state no longer exists though and the region is now OEDI (Orbital Elevator Defense Initiative) Territory. the one on the left is a view of the Low orbit Station and the one on the right show a couple of tourists. ( man, I really want to try that. Just hope no space debris will come flying towards me)

See an OEDI cyborg here [link]

Anyway.. The Orbital Elevator project started in 2070AD. It was originally a GWN project but the RSU and its PMCs took over by 2071, in the same year the San Nikolas System was established. It got materials from the spoils of the Sanctioned Warfare Policy.
OEDI is led by the Harka... ( I kinda forgot what they are soo... my bad) OEDI Territory is the safest and most peaceful place to be on Red Star Union dominated Earth. This was primarily due to the fact that the elevator's safety is the most important thing ever. While the rest of the world underwent Sanctioned Warfare OEDI Territory was kept free of any danger. OEDI guards were present everywhere. Their vigilance unrivaled by the Royal Guard of the Clandon Empire (formed at 2181).

When it was formed, OEDI was under RSU control but since 2120 AD it was given more "privileges." The OE would be used to transport materials to space for the Space Colony program of the RSU. As more colonies were completed OEDI gained more independence.

OEDI continues to exist even as the RSU collapsed in 2178. OEDI joined neither of the Universal Nation or the Clandon Empire. OEDI prohibited the use of the OE to both sides. This forced the UN and the Clandon Empire to create other means of getting equipment from Earth to space.

OEDI has an army and navy the rivals both the UN and the Clandon Empire. It also employs a smaller version of the San Nikolas System which grants OEDI personnel unlimited access to everything in the territory.

Nice orbital elevator! Those are the happiest astronauts ever.

I kinda forget the good locations of the orbital elevator but I remember somewhere off the coast of South America is a null zone for hurricanes which makes it perfect.

I seem to not have the weather accounted for the location of my orbital elevator. All I knew was that it had to be somewhere near the equator because it would be a good place to anchor it or something about balance...

Yeah but it's close to where it needs to be.

At least I got that bit in a more or less correct way.

Awesome perspective on the left picture

What exactly is this San Nikolas System? Some sort of transport device or simply a directive?

Thanks

The San Nikolas system was originally created by the RSU and it is, well, I guess its a directive and a massive surveillance system. People are monitored 24/7 and there's no such thing as privacy so as to prevent anything bad from happening. This was especially true in 'safe zones' where there should not be any armed conflict( as opposed to 'arenas' which were sanctioned warzones). When the RSU collapsed the UN took down the San Nikolas system as it was against the rights of man but OEDI managed to keep its SN system intact.

Its from santa clause, if you haven't noticed, "he knows if you have been naughty or nice."
