Description

In this TL, Michigan keeps it's name but loses the Upper Peninsula to Huron, and is the southernmost extension of the Francophone region of Canada along he St. Laurence valley.

The flag's background calls to the state's green land and waters of the Great Lakes, emblazoned with the regional symbol of the maple leaf, and a star signifying national unity with the rest of the nation. The flag calls back to two revolutionary banners and the national flag, featuring the leaf of the Maple Leaf Banner flown by a french-speaking revolutionary regiment, the red, white, and green of the anti-British Patriotes flag of 1775, and the red,white,and blue of the national flag.
