Description

The flag of Wasatch, which consists of OTL Utah and most of NW Nevada and sharing a similar history as refuge for a schismatic christian sect, is actually one which has been proposed in 2019 by Utah state legislator Keven Stratton. I removed the numbers from the flag, but otherwise left it same as the proposal.

It may be holding too close to IRL history to put alt-Mormons in alt-Utah, but the time period of religious revivalism and burgeoning sects such as the Oneida group and Millerites makes the early US a hotbed of divergent sects, and the flat but dry valley where Salt Lake City sits is habitable but not terribly appealing so it will probably be bypassed until someone desperate comes along. The details of the sect are not yet hammered out, to be updated.

Wasatch is named for the Wasatch range of mountains, forming a backbone of the state east of the Great Salt Lake.
