This is nice for blender. if you compare this to gaming engines I think it holds up.

Oooh, very nice.

Door up the back bothers me - it may be the wood trim being the same colour as the door, or perhaps the shadow not being dark enough.
Maybe an orange highlight on the legs of the chair to the left at the front (there's an orangy edge on the tablecloth).

You're getting very good at this. The tablecloth looks like fabric with the folds and I love the chair cloth pattern. Metal looks like metal and the glasses look like glass.

Ah you're right about those highlights on the chair legs -- that was an oversight on my part. I'm also finding myself agreeing with you about the door too.

And thanks! I'm glad you think so. I still feel a bit hit and miss with materials in my scenes... Thanks for the comment and crit

Wow, this is incredible! I thought it was a photograph at first O.o

Do you have any tips for maknig backgrounds? I made a lineart, and then when it comes to start colouring I don't even know where to begin or what to do O.o

Thanks

Depends on how you're making the backgrounds, however the fundamentals will always be useful things to know. Perspective, lighting/value, composition, and colour, are all areas to look into. I've listed them in what I consider to be the best order to study them, but I'm no teacher nor expert.

My suggestion would be to study those things while making a lot of BGs. In my opinion, thinking of a drawing as lineart and colouring isn't fine grained enough. The lineart phase would involve setting up perspective and composition, while the colouring phase would be lighting/value and colouring. Generally you want to get values sorted out before colouring.Β Since you asked specifically asking about colouring, I'd suggest learning about building and using a palette. Graphic design is actually a useful subject to look into that regard.

Sorry for the vague answer, but it's a big question. I think if you just focus on Googling / YouTubing for one of those subjects (perspective, etc.) you'll find a lot of useful stuff.

Hope that helps ^.^
