Excerpt from Jaguar's Mission Log - 17 Septimas, 1533 AOTF
The ruse has likely failed. The subject, henceforth referred to as Jackal, returned to her quarters sooner than I had anticipated. I was able to escape without Jackal noticing me, but the damage has been done.
Many of Jackal's past belongings remained in her room before I had the chance to remove them. Though she will be able to escape from the city without alerting the local authorities, she likely no longer believes that her past has been rewritten as I had implied to her in our Guild Hall conversation.
More troubling, as I made my escape, I saw an irate Canid woman arguing with the rather confused inn keep. The Canid spoke in a strange dialect and wore badges and medals from no military of this world. The next day, I interviewed the inn keep before continuing my pursuit of Jackal, and she insisted that the Canid had been a male human just moments prior, but that "something strange happened" the moment Jackal struck him.
Given Jackal's mutism and apparent new ability to forcibly world-hop others, I reaffirm my assessment that she suffers from MIND-5, and that our efforts have not cured her. We must take more drastic measures to contain her before more of her abilities awaken.
