Description
Savage Turtle Studios' first head commission is complete. This may be a product of the Studio, but in this instance, I had no part in the head making process. *Quaylak did it pretty much all on her own, and she did a really awesome job, too!

I'm really looking for a partial fursuit, and i was curriouse as to how much you would want for a partial fursuit.. I love how the ones you make all turn out wonderful. I've been trying to make a partial fursuit of my OC, Rizon, but I can't get the paws to look right... I'm trying something new as soon as I get offline, but still I cannot figure it out. Any tips? (also pricing on partial fursuits?)

Well, unless I knew what the problem was, I wouldn't be able to give any tips. You can try the fursuit livejournal community--there are a lot of tutorials and people who could help you there.
As far as prices, all of our prices are listed on our website: [link] and you can also submit a quote request form there.

Well.. I don't know how to describe the problem, it's more-so I'm not sure how to make the paws.. I've tried a few ways but I don't have any idea what's the best thing to use. Just wondering if you have any tips, really. Like what to use, how to shape 'em, etc. (and also I may be interested in a partial fursuit excluding the head because I don't have $650 on-hand or any time soon, like maybe in a few years sort of thing... but I'm highly interested in getting the feet, paws, and ears made from you, you make them very well)

Uh, well... I'm still not really sure what you mean. You're not sure what material to use for the paws? Shaping them, you can just trace your hand on a piece of paper and add a good inch or more for seam allowance, then use that as a pattern.
Feel free to shoot us an email whenever you're ready to get a quote from us. And thanks for the interest.

Well it's a few things. The materials is some-what the issue, because I'm not sure what would last through every day wear and tear. Also, thanks for the tip on the shaping of paws. ^_^
And I'll be sure to do so, but a quick question, how much would the feet and hand paws (that would go up the arm) cost? (also, do you know of any good tips/tutorials/patterns/suggestions for making the head?) I havn't started the head yet, because I'm just compleatly not sure what would work and what won't, and I'm afraid to mess it up, so I'm looking for tips and such before I even buy the stuff needed.

We typically use fur from distinctive fabric (www.distinctivefabric.com).
Our base prices are listed on the site. They'd be in the $200 range.
As for tutorials, like I said, the fursuit community on livejournal is an excellent resource. They have a lot of tutorials saved in their memories. I don't know of any tutorials that are "good" since I've never used any for heads, but I know matrices has a lot of tutorials. matrices.net

Thanks, that website will be very helpful.
Ahh, okay, I may or may not be able to commission you, depending on the amount of money I get (end of september) so that really all depends on if I can commission someone or if I have to make it. (may try both, if I have money, lol)
And thanks for the link. I need pretty much all the help I can get, because I've never attempted anything like this. I've made plushies and I've sewn up holes in clothing, and sometimes I've made wristbands or things like that, never tried to make a partial fursuit (or any fursuit, for that matter) before, so I'm pretty much lost. Hah.
