It'd probably be in the realm of $200, with all those stripes. And thank you! :3

Ah alright thank you! I got commissioned for a 3.5 foot long tail from a friend of mine and I wanted to see an idea of a size comparison. I think I'm going to have my work cut out for me xD

Lovely, simply lovely. What kind of wire did you use? *scratches head* I'm needing assistance with the creation of my own fursuit's tail

I got it in the hardware section of Lowe's. Near all the picture and mirror hanging supplies, and nuts and bolts. I don't remember exactly what it was called. But because of how big and heavy the tail is, though, I'm going to have to find another method. It's not quite stable enough. They only had 16, 14 and 9 guage wire, too. 16 was way too thin, 9 was too thick and not bendable, so I used 14. I still had to quadruple layer it to get it to work. D:

Thanks for the compliment, though. I hope you can figure out something for your tail.

I've been talking with my fur friend for the last hour on methods, and we came up with one. Just thought I'd offer this piece of information for you to try out too and see if it helps you out any, concider it thanks for helping me out with an idea on wire

Since with wiring, there is a risk of the tail being broken, the wire stabbing through the fabric, and just plain uncomfortable if ya sit on it XD all of us furs know how uncomfortable that is. When cutting the fur-fabric, cut it so that it has a slight curve at the tail's tip to give it the shape you want. Cut two halves of this and stuff it as much as you can from tail tip to tail base to get it to hold it's shape. Granted, I don't know how well this works yet as I haven't been able to try it, but I will quite soon. If I'm able to try it before you do, I'll be sure to show ye the results. Please do keep an eye on my gallery every now and then to see if I post it.

Oh, and yeah the wire has come through the fabric once. We're going to try using tooldip on it to see if it'll keep it from stabbing through. :3

Tool dip doesn't stick very well to wire, I found that out the hard-way trying to use it on Majin's glasses on the first suit XD

Yeah! That method works pretty well for smaller tails. I did it to the kitty tail. It definitely stays in its curved shape. I'm not sure how well it'd work for a tail as big as Quaylak's, though. Hmm.

Majin has a kitty tail, so it should work then!!! Quaylak is an awesome artist. I love her character This tail just rox my furry sox, its awesome. This is just awesome. I try to avoid using a foam core, as those tend to break easily *sighs* even if they have a nice shape, swing, and bounce, they aren't stable enough *shakes head*

I think it'd work out nicely for this tail, if stuffed firmly enough.

Great! Good luck with it! :3 And yeah, Quaylak's great. I wish I could draw half as well as she does.

I've yet to use a foam core. I'm sure there are times that call for it (maybe dragon tails?), but I like the soft, squishiness that polyfil gives. Maybe one day. :3

I'd give anything to have a badge from her -_- *pokes at empty coin purse*

Foam cores do have their time of need. Like maybe for a husky tail, or dragon tail as you said. I prefure the squishiness just as you said Much more pleasant to children should they grab hold of it XD
