I love her clothes! They're practical, durable, yet still nice-looking in their own way. You can tell that she takes her profession seriously, and maintains her gear, but she's not afraid to get dirty. And her face shows a lot of character.

Thank you! Yeah I really wanted to come at this piece from the perspective of what a female version of Aragorn might look like. And Aragorn ain't wearing no metal bras haha.

No kidding! *LOL* I could never stand the chain-mail-bikini look either. (Well, there was Princess Leia, but her's was never intended to be protective anyway.) I also like the fact that she doesn't look like a supermodel. I mean, seriously. Girls who choose to tromp around the woods as a profession aren't going to be worried if their make-up is perfect, or if their hair is arranged flawlessly.Β

oh my God, it's a NORMAL woman!
It's not one of those million "girls" with almost bare bodies, swinging their swords between thousands of ugly old males. -.- I hate this sexism!!! >.<
Now this is a normal-looking, not-beautiful older woman with a sword, maybe the only one in the whole world wide web.
I LOVE IT!!!!!! Thanks a lot!

... But she is beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yes! Someone who agrees! We should respect the ladies!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy her! Yeah especially for the Tolkien universe, skimpy amazonian armor just doesn't fit.

that's right, but sadly most people prefer the stupid stereotype of female fantasy warriors and such. Hard to find anything else out there, I've tried for HOURS!!

To anyone who reads this:
do you like to design fantasy characters, or do you simply like to draw digitally?
i need somebody that is willing to design the artwork for the cards and the other elements for the game that iβm making. i canβt pay you for it, because iβm only 14 years old, but if i ever get to publish the game, i will contact you to make arrangements. if you are interested in working with me, leave a comment on elphirstudios.wordpress.com Β or contact me at elphirstudios@gmail.com.
also, if you know somebody that would maybe be interested, send them there!
thanks in advance to everyone who wants to help.
the game that iβm making takes place in middle earth, so the style would be similar to Alan Leeβs and Jhon Howeβs, although the characters are not those appearing in the books or films. a couple of examples of the style that i like: Β Β Β

I found this and I thought, wow, the details on this artwork are so great, she looks so real. Especially the face. I know how hard it is myself to draw a person this fantastic! In fact, I can't draw a person that looks so real! So, I am saying that I truly LOVE this.Β Β

Haha thank you very much. Just practice practice practice! If you really want to learn, do yourself a favor and pick up any books by Andrew Loomis.

Really cool, I'm glad FFG aren't limiting themselves to just cannon characters. It's really cool to explore these less-known aspects of Middle Earth.

Thanks! Yeah, for an artist these kinds of characters can actually be more fun because they give you a little more room to play with characterization. Though with her, there isn't anything too extreme going on. I really just wanted to create a portrait of someone who seems much older and more jaded on the inside than she really looks on the outside.

This is really awesome. Always wondered what a she-Dunedain would look like.
