Description My interpretation of what a magikarp would look like in real life.

I have put it in the ocean with a gyarados in the background climbing out of a ship.

my first piece that I can be proud to have drawn.
I spent a great deal of time on this, putting aside all other drawings including prizes,application, contest entries and more.

I think I have spent about 6-8 hours on this however I still see room for improvement on parts of the magikarp and the gyarados in the background.

I hope you like it and would appreciate any comments on what is good and bad about this picture.

I would also love something like an evaluation or just a tip or so to improve, though don't feel too compelled to write anything I just want to know the areas I should practice more at.

I absolutelty LOVE the Magikarp!!! It looks very realistic, but I think that more work needs to be done on the Gyarados, as they stand out a lot at the moment, and distract people from the FANTASTIC Magikarp. Also, I think that the Magikarp should be blended into the background a bit more. Keep up the good artwork!

thanks, I'll see what I can do about blending the magikarp further into the background and will also be working on the gyarados.

First of all I really like the colors used in this. They're nice muted tones that give off more of a realistic and natural vibe than the bright colors used in-game.
The Gyarados in the background looks rather flat compared to the Magikarp, but I suppose that's okay considering it's not the focus of the picture.
All in all I like this. :>

thanks , I'll keep this in mind for my future pictures and I will get onto fixing up the gyarados soon.
