Assuming that Jake Batman has a tactical mindset:
He'll probably remember what happens when you cut a sheep, so he'll put some sheep behind him to buffer him from the swinging blades OF DEWM. Batman will not be hurt and, as a bonus, he will have more sheep in his small army.
Maybe he should taunt them and make them cut more sheep. They'll be digging their own graves. Muahaha.

Seriously, though, "Jake" is going to have so many Medusas when he finally gets home that he'll be able to open a pet shop and sell them. I wonder if they'll eat gerbil food -- chocolate cake treats are likely to be expensive.

it's a shame we can't always make comics any direction they lead us in.. at least not expecting them to fit on a website or in a book

I know. I'm starting to feel a little constrained by the book format I chose. I'd love to do big meandering maze like comics, but there's no good way to include them in the book!
