Description
In amongst the endless holiday parks and amusement arcades of Burnham On Sea, Somerset. At the end of a seven mile long beach, usually full of holiday makers is Brean Down. An oasis for wildlife managed by the National Trust. On this, my first visit here, the tide was out and the flats were virtually untrodden making it perfect for reflections and sand patterns.

Nice light captured mate, just not so keen on the lack of subject matter, no real foreground to draw me in.

It's nice, I can see you did well with what you had, but the sand just feels a bit like mud to me

It is a mud, or at least the higher areas are.... Mud Patterns doesn't have the same ring though. Does it matter? It's still a valid landscape image, completely accurate to the area. Much of our coastline is mud and estuary shots with tide out and mud revealed are popular.
Yes you are right though I did what I could with what I had and if I go back it will be on an incoming tide with wellies on....

I think you are reading too much into what I said. It's perfectly legitimate for me to not like mud. I wasnt making a comment on the accuracy of your description, just saying I dont like mud!

I was only responding to your comment as I saw it. I thought it was quite funny and was slightly confused by it.

Thanks mate, this is quite literally all that is there and I had about 15 minutes of usable light to get it in, between the harsh light and a cloud bank.....
I did take some portrait low-downs, not sure how good yet.
