More like 3-4 hours but whatever. Decided to try painting a more often (part of my new years resolution) and Yu became the guinea pig. All done in Sai.Ever finish a pic, look back on it, and suddenly see all your errors? Yep, doing that right now. XD

Its still a good painting though. Any tips for how you color the hair?

Thank you! For coloring hair, I usually block in the initial shadows, then go in with a smaller brush to tidy it up and add details like darker shadows, reflective light, and highlights. And I don't blend the colors like I do skin and clothes. I just make quick lines that move in the direction of the hair, like in this case they all kind of flow to the lower right.
Hope that answers your question! To be honest, I had to paint something in Sai really fast so I could remember how I painted the hair in this pic. XD
