Description
The first version of Jack in his engineer uniform from back during the days of steam engines! Obviously I decorated this one just for fun, and I might not decorate all the reference sheets this much, just some of them. Feel free to draw him, just tell me so I can see it! Had fun with this one and maybe with some luck I'll get some more done. Trying to get some of the more important characters in their more common outfits done, just thought I'd start with this fella since I've had trains on the brain lately.-CHARACTER INFORMATION-
-Jack Worked as a fireman and an engineer on the Southern Ditch Creek Railroad(SDCRR). And later BNSF.
-Jack Was well known on the railroad before his big accident. Due to his habit of regularly going over track speed limits to get trains in on time or in early and somehow never derailing or having an accident.
-Jack is a fantastic storyteller. Somehow his accent, animated movements, and general wording manage to catch people's attention. He's always telling stories about wrecks, accidents, ghosts, and general mishaps and silly incidents. He also tends to talk a bit about Manny Bell, a very weathly and well known figure in the illegal movement of booze and casinos at the time.
-Jack was in one of the most infamous wrecks on the SDCRR. He was driving the railroad's most famous passenger train, The Steel Gator, engine number 715 named Anchor. While crossing a bridge over the Mississippi river, the bridge collapsed. Of all the passengers and crew on board, only three survived. That being Jack McLane the engineer, Lewis Dudley the fireman, and George Farman the conductor.
-Jack was pretty well liked by the people he worked with. Due to his storytelling, willingness to pick up shifts and do extra work, and generally just being really friendly.
-Jack is certified to drive both steam and diesel locomotives on class 1 railroads. Despite this, he oddly never got to drive electric engines.
